Portsmouth hammered Frank Lampard's Coventry City 4-1 at Fratton Park on Saturday, while Ruben Selles earned his first win as Hull boss.

Callum Lang scored all of Portsmouth's goals as they came from behind to thrash Frank Lampard's Coventry City 4-1 at Fratton Park on Saturday.

Lampard's side had scored the opening goal through Norman Bassette after just three minutes, but Pompey came roaring back to claim the three points.

Striker Lang was the star of the show for the home side, netting two goals either side of the half-time break, with his second, thumping effort the pick of the bunch.

The result took Portsmouth, at least temporarily, outside of the relegation zone.

Sheffield Wednesday beat Stoke City 2-0 at Hillsborough to go within two points of the play-off places in the Championship, despite having had a man sent off in the 41st minute.

Defender Di'Shon Bernard picked up two bookings, which gave the hosts a sizeable task ahead of the second half.

But goals from Josh Windass and Callum Paterson gave Wednesday a fourth victory in six matches, with Stoke's Tom Cannon missing a late penalty.

Elsewhere, Hull City's 2-1 victory over Swansea City took them from the bottom of the table to outside the relegation zone.

The Tigers took the lead in the first half through Joao Pedro, though were pegged back in the 42nd minute after Harry Darling headed Swansea level out of nowhere.

But Mason Burstow was on hand to get the home side back in front in the 80th minute and earn Ruben Selles his first victory since taking over earlier this month.
