Monza 1-2 Juventus: McKennie and Gonzalez get Bianconeri back to winning ways
Following a run of four successive Serie A draws, Juventus got another win on the board after they saw off Monza.
Juventus got back to winning ways in Serie A following a 2-1 victory over Monza at U-Power Stadium.
Weston McKennie and Nicolas Gonzalez were on target for Thiago Motta's side, who ended a run of four successive league draws.
The Bianconeri broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, as an unmarked McKennie volleyed home from Teun Koopmeiners' corner.
Monza replied eight minutes later, with Andrea Carboni's inviting cross turned in by Samuele Birindelli.
However, Juventus regained their advantage six minutes before half-time, with Gonzalez finishing after the hosts failed to deal with a centre.
Monza looked to launch a late rally, but Juve held out for all three points.
Data Debrief: Bianconeri register landmark win
Juventus chalked up their 1,700th victory in Serie A, making them only the fourth team across the big five European leagues to reach the milestone since 1929-30, after Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal.
McKennie's opener in the 14th minute was the quickest goal scored by the Bianconeri in Serie A this term.
They subsequently extended their unbeaten streak to 25 league matches, while Monza have lost four successive home games in Serie A for the first time.
