Bologna 1-1 Napoli: Ndoye stunner stops visitors from closing on Inter

After Inter dropped points against Parma, Napoli missed the chance to close the gap on the Serie A leaders after drawing with Bologna.
Dan Ndoye's wonder goal denied Napoli the chance to close the gap on Serie A leaders Inter as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Bologna on Monday.
Inter dropped points against Parma at the weekend, but Napoli were unable to get closer to Simone Inzaghi's team, and stay second and three points behind them.
David Neres had gone closest to opening the scoring in the opening stages, but Napoli hit the front in the 18th minute through Frank Anguissa.
The midfielder powered his way towards the Bologna box from deep, riding Juan Miranda's challenge before rounding Lukasz Skorupski and putting the ball home.
Antonio Conte's side almost doubled their tally before the break, but substitute goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia's outstretched hand denied Matteo Politano.
However, Bologna improved after the break as Simone Scuffet produced a brilliant stop before Riccardo Orsolini fired over from close range soon after.
But the hosts got their reward in the 64th minute through a stunning finish from Dan Ndoye.
After neat build-up play down the left side, Jens Odgaard's cross picked out Ndoye, who produced a sensational back-heel finish that hit the underside of the bar and in.
Napoli came close to stealing all three points late on, but Romelu Lukaku and Anguissa were unable to latch on to Amir Rrahmani's effort into the box.
Data Debrief: Napoli endure another dismal away day
Napoli have now drawn four of their last five Serie A away games (L1), as many draws as in their previous 15 on the road, with those results perhaps crucial if they fall short of lifting the Scudetto this season.
But their stalemate was settled after a piece of individual brilliance from Ndoye, who continued his fine form for Bologna as they aim to secure Champions League football this term.
Indeed, with five goals and three assists, Ndoye is the Serie A player who has been involved in the most goals in all competitions since the start of February.
He is also the first Bologna player to score in four consecutive home appearances in Serie A since Musa Barrow, back in July 2020.
